Depends on what I'm doing. I always used the "baste in the hoop" that's on my machine and sometimes use a spray also. I don't like the sprays on anything that has texture, like a towel, as it seems to sorta pull the loops when you take it off. Plus a spray is messing! I'm usually in a hurry & make a mess with the spray!
sorry about this....site is very slow this morning...
I use my machine's basting stitch and it works wonderfully....
Good question, I like to use the basting stitch. I found it free on some site but someone will make you one.
Do you have a basting stitch. If you do a search you may find a free one for embroidery. I got a couple of free ones but don't remember where I got it. You just hoop your stabilizer and then lay your fabric in place and stitch the basting stitch. Holds great and no glue required. Love the basting stitch! I believe someone on here offered a free one., just can't remember who it was. I will try to help you find one. If you send Meganne a pm and give her your hoop size she may be able to help you, you also have to give her her machine format that your machine uses. Hope this helps. Also type in the search bar to your left and BASTING and you will find the article by Meganne about the basting stitch. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
yes, just found her. It was meganne who offered a free basting stitch a few weeks back. I came across this when browsing the questions.
Hope this helps
I always use a temp glue-usually a wash away type
I use glue (Dritz) and I baste the item before doing the actual item.
