Just what we need.... I tried to upload a neat little video of blooming tulips, but it didn't work, so I'll add the URL if you want to see it.

I have a penfriend in Stuttgart Germany. Have been writing to him since we turned 14. He loves Tulips, so each birthday his wife buys him a tulip for each year of his age. He was 70 last January. I always send him a tulip birthday card as well. Lyn
Ooooh I wish I had tulips popping up around here!!
Its raining today so that means less snow tomorrow, and tulips maybe next month. I sure hope so!!
*4U and hugs too!!
Today I've seen the first blooming cherry-trees and forsythia. I live in Germany near the "Rhine-lowlands" and we are benefited with the weather :o) I really love Hamburg (my all-time favorite) but they have just 2 month real summer and that is not enough for somebody who grows here (last year we had some warm days in january so you could sit outside and drink your coffee!).
Greetings, Bettina
Actually, I have to confess, I stretched the truth. I saw the tulips just peeking out of the ground. They were all curled up and reaching up toward the light. I could definitely tell they were tulips, though. It was crocus I saw actually blooming! they were yellow and waxy and too beautiful to describe. This has been the longest winter I have ever spent! But I am pretending these are tulips, not crocus, and they are that bright pink that is almost red.
LOL-I LOVE tulips-I can't wait till they are really in bloom in my back yard. I swear I saw little green buds poking through the soil this morning-crocus buds- YES-spring is coming and snow is disappearing fast!! ~linda~
Bouquets to you too Jan =O)
I love tulips! Mine have popped up but not quite ready to bloom yet. Have a wonderful day!
