Okay here are some quick and easy ideas. Dog neckerchiefs embroidered with different breeds or sports teams icons. Pillow cases with wild fabric the wilder the better. You can embroider sayings on the cuffs or not. Charge more if you do. Anything made out of denim The guys like tribal, tatoo types of designs. Do stuff for the guys, one of the designers had ladies in bikinis, stitch some of these on patchwork pillows and embroider things like Hot or spicy along with them. Guy stuff seems to sell, not many doing it here. Hope this gets the creative juices flowing.

Wow thanks those are great ideas. My husband is trains on the brains, but I do get designs that are tools and guy things. Will do that.

If you have flannel in your stash you can cut strips the width of the fabric and about 6 1/2" wide. then make a strip quilt (no batting required just 2 layers of flannel). They are really quick and a Texas longhorn embroidery would really jazz it up. No time, lots of babies! Linda

I do and some has not been cut into squares. I have been working with it. Thank you for the stripping idea.

You need to come up with some of your own ideas. You don't want to make what is selling on others tables. In my area, I found out that someone who owns a bouquet shop, bought a couple of my items for patterns. I guess I can't stop her, but the point I'm trying to make, is that everyone has to come up with an idea of their own. If everyone is making and selling the same thing, nothing sells. At the show that's coming up April 2, out of about 80-100 vendors, I bet there will be at least 20 tables with knitted dish rags, quilted hot pads, ect. I make my own patterns, so I know when someone has taken an item apart and copied it. You need to be different than all the others.

I am no where that smart or capable of making a pattern, but I have been using a pattern for coffee cup cozies that uses up most of my upholstry squares that a friend gave me quite a few years back. I haven't seen anyone with them walking around. I have given a few away to see if used them or not. One gets used daily

Good idea. Start with those, but have a verity of other items also, what doesn't catch one persons eye, might catch another. Good luck with the sale.

I'm having little success with handmade items lately. Folks want something for nothing. I wonder about the orns we just got from the states...those may sell if folks will think ahead. Everyone has cell phones, cell phone holders. Anything with something about La or Tx on it! I think the little tee shirts with "I'm the big sister" or "I'm the big brother" on them. I got that file from somewhere free!! Let us know what sells.

Thank you. I have those, but can't afford the little shirts to embroidery on, but am going to make some burp clothes. I have a chance to do a festival this weekend, but am going to just see what sell there. I will be there for something else anyways.

I love baby quilts, Tray cloths(especialy cutwork), Table linen, various sized tote bags (can be made up with bands of diff fabric )
All are easy to do and need little decoration also all types of fabric can be mixed and matched.
Happy stitching.
