You and I are on the same wave! I have commented on this before. I love getting flowers but only if I have participated in some way. I won't give to those who are always begging instead of contributing to the site!

Here! Here! Love the site (and embroidery), love to give flowers for comments, projects, DBC but don't care who has how many and don't give to folks who post asking for more.

I am with you all. I love this site and Miss Veronika for the sharing and caring. The flowers are just fun. I think we need to send Yoriko some funny jokes and videos.

Since I came back from Japan, my mind is blank! I cant embroider, I cant digitize. I would love some ideas for my next digitizing :) Love, Yoriko

Don't blame you. If I am upset I can also do nothing. You have experienced it first hand and must be traumatised. How about digitizing some of the beautiful blue work which Japan are known for. I just love them. It is so calming.

Yoriko, take a few steps back and take some time to settle from your ordeal. Your thoughts will clear and you will find inspiration. Blessings. Helen

Dear Yoriko, perhaps you can fill the blank in you mind with LOVE. Sending you some good thoughts and blessings, and loving inspiration. Best Wishes Sue

How I agree! There are also a lot of threads which would be better as PMs rather than public (IMHO!)
I've got to go to work today so no sewing! Tomorrow is another matter though. Not sure what I'll do yet, but I'm sure a plan will evolve while I drive home this afternoon.

I am sure you will come up with something Sue-just remember to keep your eyes on the road while driving home-don't get too distracted with your next brainstorm! ~smiles~linda~

I've wondered the same and think it's silly to ask for more...or why people have to announce how many they have. You would think there's a popularity contest going on or the more one gets they get a prize of some sort.

I love to give flowers especially in projects, DBC and when a Cutie gives a super tip. I don't always have time to comment, and it's kind of those cuties who also give me a flower or two every now and then. But If I never get another flower, I won't lose any sleep over it. LOL

Sounds good to me. How do you like your new machines? I had a hickup with my embroidery machine a while ago but was able to figure it out (just a dumb move on my part). All I seem to need is more time without feeling guilty...you know, I should clean the oven, strip the floor, do the windows...etc., etc....it just seems to go on and on! It would help if I had a friend here who was interested in emb.,but my friends do not sew or are quilters. ..SO GLAD for Cute!!
Hugs, Nadyne

P.S. Stripped the kitchen floor yesterday and was so sore today that I spent the afternoon looking through patterns ...what to sew and embroidery...such fun!!

the only thing i don't like about it is the thread goes on sideways and sometimes in the middle of a design will wrap around and break. May have to try a thread holder. Other than that it's great. Love it.

Bev I had that trouble and since using a thread holder it hasn't happened again.

The thread holder REALLY helps!

LOL-I have made that comment before Bev and gotten it up one side and down the other-so I won't even go there. I got on here tonite after "Survivor" to see what design I was going to use for some quickie potholders-that was about 2 hours ago and still haven't gotten there-too easily distracted I guess- ~linda~

OK - let's talk embroidery - what is on your mind? What new technique would you like to share with us? What is the next project you are going to be working on?

Tote bags, I bought 18 yards of colored and flowered denim cheap and i need to make something out of it. And your next project?

shirlener88 by shirlener88 16 Mar 2011

Sounds like fun - I have only made a couple totes myself. I have a couple table runners I am thinking about making and several more of the set of bookmarks to stitch.

almag by almag 17 Mar 2011

I love making totes and bags. I have dozens of designs that would look superb on bags. I love denim bags - embroidered ones in particular.
I even joined a bag-making group and have some wonderful patterns.
I have so many projects galloping around in my mind and I really want to get to them.
I just don't have the energy to even begin right now.
It's so nice to just sit here and read about other people's achievements.
