You haven't forgotten how. It will immediately come back to you when you start. A bit like typing and roller skating, it stays with you. I hope your project turns out well.

Did you find one, yet? And I know you said from commercial pattern company, but I found this pattern at Burda's website and it looks nice. It is free download, but their downloading process is weird. If you need help, I did manage to get the pattern directions and the pattern pieces into one pdf file. Just let me know if you need it.
I cant seem to get the "print at home" option with the chickadee top, how did you get the pdf pattern? I got the "instructions" but it says to refer to the pdf pattern lol. I got an email from Burda and have been browsing there for a while tonight and happened to notice this thread here :)
You can also get OOP patterns from Ebay, I shop there a lot :)
@ Pennifold I have a similiar one like that. I have started back using it for making shells...FIESTA ;D *2U

Yes, I have one. I've had it for years and it's a McCall's pattern. The number is 6926. You can make it in an hour!!!! Now, I don't know if it is still current, but you could try. I'll attach a picture of it for you.
Love and blessings Chris
Too bad this is no longer available. I'd have like something like this, too!

If I were you I'd make a pattern by drawing round something that fits you (not a T-shirt!) and make it up using an old sheet and big stitches. Then adjust to perfection, un-pick and you have a pattern. You won;t loose anything by trying!
I was kind of thinking about that, but I haven't actually sewn any clothing for sooooo long. What if I've forgotten how? lol kind of
Here are links to the major pattern companies that are easy to obtain in the USA.
Simplicity does still make patterns. http://www.simplicity.com/ McCall Patterns owns the other 3 biggies.
