I have the little electric shaver, Peanut. Paid a fortune for it. It does a half way job. Still have to cut and pull a lot. Personally any electric razor would work. do it on the back. Maybe one of those little cordless neck trimmers for hair cuts.

Good advice has been given!!It' s really frustrating trying to get all of the stitches out & even if you do you will still have the needle holes. Maybe you could find a nice coordinating fabric and make a pocket to sew on the outside of the bag, covering the letters you don't want, and getting more places to put "stuff" is never bad!

I have unpicked embroidery before on heavy coats and jackets, it is not easy to do and if the item is on the thin side I wouldn't even try.
They claim a electric shaver I forget the name of the brand but it suppose to cut the threads on the back and not hurt the material.
I agree with others about just making a patch to cover over it. Just use an applique as the base and sew it over the monogram.

I don't like unpicking machine embroidery, its not easy, but it can be done if you are very patient and careful. I have done it a few times (with mixed success lol) I clipped all the back stitches with an quick-un-pick (think US call them stitch rippers) and then scratched at the front with my nails to lift the threads out.

I guess if you can get the most of it out at least you can cover it with something nicer :)

There is something available called a stitch eraser, sort of like a hair trimmer, but I have never used one.

I think that would be rather difficult to do - but you surely can try - the only trouble is - some of the stitching underneath might be rather small and once you get to a certain point of unpicking - you might knick the fabric - be very careful and use a really sharp pair of scissor our unpicker that has a sharp edge.

i do not like picking out embroidery stitches. You might try placing a piece of felt or other fabric on top with you preferred design on it . Kay

Are you talking about a digitized design that you need to fix with software or a fabric bag that's already made?

You will have a hard time taking the out I would be better if you to embroidery what you want and then applique it over the undesired letters.
