I have used Buzz Tools for about 8 years. I have upgraded only once. I have version 3 Plus. The program displays your designs in the directory structure you have on your disks (folders). It will not change your files unless you choose to do so it is called on-the-fly conversion. The main purpose I use it is to convert files to my format (PES) When I download designs they are usually in a zipped format. The Buzz Tools lets me look at the designs without unzipping (saves space on my computer). I then double click and the design goes into my Palette where I do most of my editing. It has worked many years for me. cj
I have the Ann The Gran version of the Buzz Tools organization software - they are pretty much the same thing. So, if what you are looking to do is to organize so you can see pictures and put them in one or more folders in the organization software you can use your existing computer folder structure.
The organization tool takes something like a picture (it is actually reading the design) of the designs when you "import" into it. After you have imported it to the organization software you can make folders in there and drag the designs to one or more of the folders to you have them sorted there. You can also sort within the software (by size, name, etc.).
Both sellers (Buzz and Ann The Gran) offer a free trial for the software so you can see if it is what you want before you buy.
Good Luck.
I wished I could help you Terri - but I am sorry - I have never seen te Buzz Tool Software or how it works. But I will bring your question to the top again.
I have a friend who has Buzz Tools ans she swears by it. Says it is marvellous. I think it is more of an editing tool. I am sure there are a lot of Cuties who will be able to answer your question better than me.
