If they are very thin - do applique designs on it. It will look better.
Hi there,
I use guest towels and they work well.
But if you were given the diapers, I would do as the other cuties have said.
Hugs Yvonne
I suggest you add sponge cloth( like towelmaterial) at the back after embroidering the front of the diaper. This way the back looks nice too. hope you've got some ideas with all answers here. Hugs G.
I made a set is is somewhere in Cuties Projects, i used pre folded diapers, I do not know how long are your diapers, I would do the design in the center section using stabilizers, add some trims, then sew the sides like a pillow case. Hope you understand what i am trying to explain.
I think that I would prewash and dry first to shrink them, then do as everyone else has suggested.
I use the prefolded diapers that Gerber makes, purchased at Walmart. I have no problem with stitching designs on them. Then I Use flannel for the back. Will try to down load one to projects so you might have a better idea.
try folding them in thirds after you embroider on them, it will hide the back of the design and make the burp thicker.
I would put a flannel backing to add to the thickness. You could fold the diaper, stitch your
design, then back the diaper with the flannel, turn
inside out and stitch around the edge. There are so many bright colorful flannel fabrics just perfect for babies. The flannel would add to the softness a baby needs.

there is one in designs by cuties but i'm not sure how far back it is.
You can also add some thin batting in between to make it thicker along with the flannel on the back. Roberta
