I bought 166 colors and 55 varigated colors the first time and I love them!!!!!!!! I loved them so much that I ordered a second set and my DH told me to get a 3rd set because they are so cheap. I am going to use the neon colors for my grandaughter. I thought little flowers and butterflies would be really cute.
My local sewing shop had overlocker cones of really fluoro orange and yellow (yellow is my fave colour) going for a dirt cheap price so I bought them and test stitched some FSL angels. My plan was once that once I knew the angels stitched okay then I'd use white thread. Well the angels didnt look as horrid as I'd expected in that bright orange so I gave those away :) xXx
I love bright colors and do use them. I put contact information onto dog collars and they're great for that.
wish Metro would update their international packages.......
Yeah me too, I want to try a spool or two before committing to a whole set.
I agree perhaps we should email them indiviually and see if they will adapt a little..there are a few of us from oz who buy the threads.
can't have too many colors! and thanks to mariahail..i have been thinking about getting a Metro collection..i think i'll wait until the quilt show, then i can see what i'm getting..
I was using my neons to test designs but my neighbors daughter started picking them to use on beach towels and pillow cases for gifts, so I now use them by request or just to add a nice punch of color on a design.
You will always find aproject when you need certain color thread, no matter how weird, it will be there when you need it. My sister ordered lots threads from there, her order was short, she emailing several times and I did to, well she got a second order yesterday, she told them about the missing threads and still they did not sent them. So when ordering from there count everything.*****
Oh that sounds so good ( the Metro update)....got go check it out...who cares about the weird colors...it just looks so fun when you have a variety of colors to choose from ...got go check them out bye
The young grandkids love the bright colors. Kinda matches their little personalities.
Or, make things for kids for a church bazaar... puppets, softies or even baby items.
Have fun and enjoy the bold colors.
Think about it. What would you like to pop in a design? A little neon color can make a design interesting. Experiment and see what you come up with. Don't forget to share pitures.
Thanks Karen, I'm always experimenting.Right now I have some bright butterflies.

Bev.....my dust bunnies collect on them....gives them someplace to hang out.........LOL!
I have only ever gotten one weird neon color before - I ordered it for my granddaughter - she loves neon green - so I make lots of pretty FSL things for her with that spool of thread and wherever green goes on a design on a t-shirt for her - I use it - she just loves showing them off, too.
