Try a full format (not quick format) on your computer, then put in your 10001 and it should auto format.
Saying that, I have had one sd card that errored and would no longer work at all, but I have another half dozen or so different branded cards that all work just fine. Occasionally I will get a file that wont read or errors, usually the hoop size is wrong for the machine.
The ord files are for 'ordinary sewing' eg saving names, stitch patterns (which I never use) and the emb files are for embroidery. You can save a maximum of 100 embroidery designs into each of the emb 1-16 folders.
You should have customiser with your machine to upload designs to the SD card or machine, and if you are using that it will only let you load to the emb folders and a maximum of 100 designs to each folder.
Clear as mud?!
I don't have the same exact machine as yours-mine is the MC9700-but I do use the ATA-PC card and adaptor for mine. I purchase another SD card for extra-thought it was the exact same thing I needed-turned out I couldn't format or get designs to read on my machine. I took it back to Radio Shack(I originally bought it in one state at Christmas time but didn't use it right away-I did keep my receipt). They were really great and exchanged it-turns out the card I purchased was actually too fast for my machine to read-I think it was Extreme or something like that- I was able to get the right size I needed-it was the Shoot&Store Card 64MB- 100 picture size. Don't know if this will help you or not, good luck ~linda~
WELL I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT MINE WON'T WORK IN ORD FILES IT HAS TO BE IN EMB FILE THEN IT IS FINE? THERE ARE 2 SEPERATE FILE SETS ON MINE 1-16EMB & THEN EXACTLY THE SAME UNDER ORD, HOPE THIS HELPS
