day. i had 12 teeth removed.so i think i had a shock to my body. us seniors do not handle this well. the biggest shock was the bill for $901.00 dollars.it is hard when your money is limited.i am going to need afalse plate but i guess it will have to wait.no i did not get any pain killers or anything else.the girl there gave me some little white pads and told me to stuff them in my mouth to stop the bleeding.well i do not recommand root canals to anyone. i had some and they are the worst for pain when having your teeth out.he used some mean looking tools to remove them.it still hurts but i will have to manage.so until i can save enough money to get new teeth about $1500.00 dollars i will be living with my blender and grinder.or i can go on rice and dog food.but what really helped me was all the messages i got from all of you. ifeel like i know all of you and just the fact that you all helped makes one feel good.thank you again for all your kindness. stella

Stella hopefully you can get your lower plate soon. I don't know where you live but where I live my dentist has a plan called Care Credit and it would allow you to get your teeth and pay for them over a period of a year or maybe even 18 months. I had $5900.00 to pay off for my veneers and caps and it worked out great. Good luck Dearie, I feel for you. I've always had bad teeth and it gets so expensive.

Stella - I am so pleased that you are feeling better. Having 12 teeth out is a HUGE thing to go through. Each day you will feel a bit better. Hope you manage to get your new teeth soon. Sarah.

I'm so glad you are feeling better Stella. I'm sorry I didn't reply to your post earlier. I've been pre-occupied with my best friend's death on Sunday. I used to work for a Dental surgery - just resigned in January and I know they put this disgusting smelling stuff on a dry socket - can't remember the name. I know you didn't have that, but any toothache pain is horrible. I'm glad at least you aren't in so much pain now though. Any pain is dreadful, but I think toothache is one of the top ones.

Love and blessings Chris.

P.S. I hope you can get your new teeth sooner than later.
