This was the last Easter basket that I had to stictch, and decided to try varigated thread. I had tried another brand of thread, and did not notice that it was so much smaller than what I normally buy. But, it took three spools of that thread to complete this basket, and luckily I was able to get the third spool. Bet I learned with this one to watch the yardage on spools of thread now. But - I did like the way that it turned out, and my granddaughter really liked it.

Looks great, love the design. Could you tell us where you got this design?

This came from EmbLibrary (www.emblibrary.com) - I bought two different design singles for Easter gifts for the grands.

dlonna, it turned out great - I am sure that the kind of thread that you choose wasn't embroidery thread, more than likely just a regular varigated thread - but you learned alot with this project didn't you? The outcome is wonderful and I can see why your granddaughter adored it. Very cute. I would love to try one of these. *4U

No - it was an embroidery thread but only had 500 yds on a spool. It was made by Signature, and was 30 WT - wanted to try it - and know the results now. Still stitched out pretty I thought.
