Could someone tell me what 'No Bore' means please. Once I have created my lettering and then I go to another programme to alter the format, a message box as below. Should I just click 'No Bore'.

Thank you

What software are you using? If you bought it from a dealer, maybe they could answer. Good luck. Bernina has a new software that cuts the fabric for Cutwork designs. I don't have it but I think you embroidery to the point where normally you would remove the hoop and hand cut the design out, but you merely change the foot to a cutting tool foot and it does it for you. Sounds like fun!!! Kay

Hi Judy.
Well give capoodle's info, I am guessing it will not affect the stitch out, so I will just click okay to 'No Borer' But yes, I agree the knowledge may be useful to others.
Many thanks

Many thanks capoodle for this. I am not sure I completely understand it, but I think I understand it enough to click no. As it does not seem to effect the end result, I think clicking No is pretty safe.

Thank you to all those who responded.

Clicking "no" was also my best advise. Good to know you were able to figure it out a bit.

Not sure if this is hat it means, but did a search and came up with this definition:

Eyelets or Borer Holes are small holes or perforations, usually rimmed with metal, cord, fabric, or leather, used for fastening with a cord or hook. They are made in various shapes, triangles, squares, circles etc. To complete the effect, stitches are put along the outside of the borer hole.

Hope this helps!

Could it be a translation mistake and says 'borer' instead of 'border'. Just a thought. Marg

Never seen that before but I suppose it depends on the programme you are using. When I looked it up on Google it seems to be a part of the machinery. Schiffli machines use them. I am assuming most sewing machines have some sort of borer in them. Good luck I hope someone else can help you.

Love and blessings Chris

I save the file/design to my desktop before dragging to the software to chage format. This happens when I try to drag the file into 'My Editor' to change the format to a pes. I usually click OK, but I do not know if this is the right thing to do.
