I think how lucky I am, I can speak english, french and german !

Since I only read and speak English I have to scan over the post not in English. Wish I could read them.
I must say I've seen the most hilarious and sometimes incomprehensible translations on this site when one of those automatic programs was used. They translate word for word, which not only means you get the wrong word-order, standard expressions often are unrecognisable. And simpler things may go wrong as well.
From the French you get a mix-up of his and her which take their form from the noun following it, not from the 'owner'; from German, sie (= she or they depending on context) and Sie (=you) are a problem; to name just a few very common ones.
It might still give you an idea of what is meant, but it might sound rude unintentionally.
I had the experience with the google-tanslator that the the message is often so weird like with the kids-game "silent post". Made the test with turquoise blog and found that I get a better translation with my mostly forgotten school-french than with this tool.
Same here in English and it trained my lazy brain :o)
My italian is to small with just one holiday-course so I will try BING for this the next time...
Greetings, Bettina
PS: 30minutes to go to my market ;-)
I used Bing! Found it by accident!
I highlighted the French words then copied them. I then pasted the French in the first box then translated it to English. Does it automatically.
Read the message and then I typed in my answer and translated to French and pasted back in post so that I could answer her. It is so easy! Just play around a little bit.
