Sorry I crashed my computer...but you have been very busy. I really appreciate the hard work, and so much beauty. I clearly have missed some really beautiful alphas.
But we have a winner, the Stitching Art site has changed drastically from what I remembered but Illuminations is definitely it. Thank you sooo much everyone! And mad props to deeside for finding it. : )
My pleasure... but what does 'mad props' mean????
I'm a huge fan of Stitching Art designs, Cathy Park is an excellent designer.
1. folk font
I'll check for more later
Pennifold's suggestion of the victorian whitework font from Anabove is a good one. That's the fanciest font I've seen. I own it. Letters are big. Just gorgeous.
That link did not work properly. Here it is in a different format:
Marcelle
a beautiful font..
maybe the most expensive one I have ever seen lol..
Maria xx
Could it be the Queenie alphabet? I have seen pictures of some of the letters done with gold parts that were stunning. Each letter is $12 and I thought there use to be a link to buy the entire set for about $90. Here is the link if you want to take a look at it.

Try Stitching Art. They have a set called Illuminations which fits your description.
Something in this direction? Much too cheap but also nice :o)
Maybe the letters were at embroiderydesigns.com cause they have some expensive vendors like Gunold, Great Notion etc.
Greetings, Bettina
PS: Did you mean illustrated? When I first read your post I thought about that special emboidery with the little LED-lamps included ;o)
I am not sure where the company is that sells sets for $100.00 but there are some lovely ones on the sites listed below. ABC (2nd site) has 14 pages of alphabets. Love and blessings Chris
Thank you so much! I never realised how many beautiful fonts they had. Thank you all for taking the time to respond.
Sorry...They were capital letters that were illuminated like medieval manuscripts. The first letter on a page or paragraph would be very fancy. With fluting or leaves and maybe gold coloring highlighting it. Sorry I was so unclear.
I'm not sure we understand the question. Is an alphabet or capitals of cities or countries? A little more info is required . When you say illuminated that also makes it a bit confusing.
No idea here but will send ttt for you. Good luck on your search.
