When you embroidery the table cloth, how do you make the underneath look nice especially when there are alot of color changes involved...If you give it as a gift, don't you want it to be nice also, or do you not worry about it.

I love to make table cloths but I use bobbin to match the fabric only,so they are for use on one side only. The top colour does peep a little on the wrong side. I also switch of auto thread cutting, and cut threads manually, this does give the back a neater finnish instead of that tangle knot.
If a single colour design like a cutwork, wingneedle or hardanger design then I use top and bobbin the same.
Polyester emb thread washes better for me, so I don't use rayon for table linen.
Happy stitching!

Good question, and I really don't have the answer - Are you going to have multiple colors? I have a couple I want to try, but that is on my "to do" list for after retirement. Hopefully someone will get back to you on this - someone that has done them. I know when I do napkins I use the same color in bobbin and top thread because of that.
