need to wear it every hour of the day. But it has so far meant I am staying out of surgery. I'll take that. It's the little things in life that mean so much.

I am sorry to hear about the disc problems. I have old herniated discs in my lower back which often cause problems. No surgery if I can help it. Does physical therapy help? Take care Love Cindy B.

Can you raise your sewing machine up off your table a few inches? I would think this would eliminate the need to look down on the needle plate area?
Just a thought..
Take care

Sorry to hear this , guess i missed the lead in on your condition. Is this any thing to do with osteoporosis? Kay

Well, bless your heart, and take care of that. I know what my husband went through to avoid surgery for the neck problem. He still has blinding headaches from the block treatment that he took. He swears he will never have anything like that done again, but it is still better than the surgery. Strange they never put him in a collar. But, take it easy and be careful with it.

I feel for you. I had the disc surgery last June and had to wear the collar for weeks after. It made it hard to look down and I ended up falling down our basement stairs 4 days after surgery because I couldn't see where I was stepping. But in the long run I'm glad I had that surgery. No more migraines, and I got back some of the feeling in my left hand. It also stopped the whooshing sound in my ears. All in all it was worth it for me to get the surgery.

I symphatize with you. I wore one of those contruptions for nine month after three surgeries within two weeks. I learned how to sleep sitting down. However, the more you wear it during the day, the faster you will heal. I'm going through the golden years, titanium in my neck, gold in my teeth, etc. Isn't growing old beautiful?
I wish you good luck. Take care and a speedy recovery. Rachel
