I am still not able to find out anything about embossing embroidery. Everytime I go to the site I cannot get it to come up. Please help. I want to see if I can emboss towels

But if you are looking for designs, you can go to designbysick, they have free designs every half hour and have a daily free design or you can go to sewforum, you have to log on there but you will find a lot of free designs. Hope this help you. Flower and XoXo

If you go to the free embroidery designs at the sew forum at Allbrands, you will see some embossed designs. Not all of the embossed designs have pictures, but many do. Here is the link:

Instructions they give:

Tearaway stabilizer was used.
Hoop your stabilizer in the hoop, spray the item to be stitched with fast tack, (or other
brand of adhesive spray. Center in the hoop, no stabilizer on the top on fabric. Or you
can hoop the item, and not use the adhesive spray.

(if I were going to use the spray I would spray the stabilizer not the towel-but that is just me. Sue)

This next part was a tip from that site also:

One day, quite by accident,I discovered that embossed embroidery designs produced a better quality end result when
I stitched them on towels made with velour fabric rather than terrycloth. To help insure a good end result when stitching
embossed designs, I use a heavy-weight stabilizer underneath the velour towels, with nothing on top.

I have sometime back seen something on embossing on Allbrands sew forum. Try Allbrands.com & go to sew forum & then to tutorials. Not sure if it's still there.

I went to the site and could not find anything. I finally saw the embossed designs on sew forum. Now what I need to know is if you can emboss on terry towels or on linen. Thanks you for your help

bkd You can emboss on both terry towels & linen, velour, fleece any of these show up real well
