To: Ruthie......When you say you just washed your brain and can't do a thing with it, it made me think of something we say in the southern United States.....more

HaHa, we all get that way from time to time, some of have a big reason. I have Alzheimer's and really wished that I didn't. Can't do a thing about it now, hope that someone cames up with a cure for it for you younger ones. Loretta

loretta, you poor thing, it's bad enough *getting up there* without having anything like alzheimers. I feel for you sweetie, hugs and a flower - and always remember how to laugh!

Loretta, I'm so sorry. It's wonderful that you come here and cheer us up with what you have to deal with! Lots of hugs!;)

Bless your little heart jrob, you're right, I did miss this one. I went back three pages this morning and it wasn't there - looks like I'll have to start going back even more pages. The trouble is that you ladies talk so much when I'm in bed asleep, that it takes me quite a while to work through all the posts when I wake-up. I too love being in the category of *getting up there*, and I definitely like the *can't be held responsible for what she does* part, haha!!! Hugs and a flower - bless your little heart sweetie!

gee, jrob, I lived in NC for awhile - that pharse came up time and time again, not referring to me - but another - I asked the gal what it meant and I don't think you want to know her answer. Hehehe! But we do use the phase "old-timers" every once in awhile in UT. *'s 4U'll

Shirlene, how do *we* know that we don't want to know her answer if you don't tell us, haha, bless your heart sweetie.

I had senior moments before I was a senior so what does that say for me! HAHA

meganne by meganne 31 Mar 2008

It says you have a great sense of humour sharing it with us... We are not alone...... I forgot what else i was going to say, duh!

ruthie by ruthie 01 Apr 2008

haha, meganne, I think our sense of humor develops as we become *older*, maybe it's to help us cope with not being able to remember things, haha!!!

meganne by meganne 01 Apr 2008

Sorry, what were we talking about?

Also known as *oldtimers*! Does that mean if we keep saying we are still 21 years old, we won't suffer any of these problems! I wish!

We southerners says about cute, little, seasoned girls (old ladies), "Bless her heart." That means she is "getting up there"(age wise, and can't be held responsible for what she does. I for one am thankful to be "getting up there" and being excused, so I'll "bless your little heart" if you'll bless mine. ;)
