I have not used a wing needle in my pr620, in fact I have never used a wing needle at all, but if it was me I would just go for it and try it out, that is how I do things. If I broke the needle plate then I would buy a new one. but it is more likely you will break the needle so then you will know if it works or not.
we think a like I normally just go for it..this is the first time I have been a little nervous lol

I would email the manufacturer and ask them - here is a link. There is a support section to use for this kind of question. I am sure that they would be very happy to answer this for you.
Maria, have you had a good look at the hole in your needle plate? I have a 4-needle (Melco EP4) and that has a small hole, like most commercial embroidery machines too. It would not accommodate a wing needle or a twin needle, like household embroidery/sewing machines such as my Designer. Stand-alone embroidery machines like the Brother 190D can't take anything wider than an ordinary sewing needle either. So I seriously doubt your PR600 will.
Hi Mops.. it was my thought.. the hole on the foot and plate is to small.. it does fit through but tightly which made me nervous..
I will have to get my Innovis 700 out.. lol
Thank you
