I have several clock designs including the ones from Sick. I buy my clocks at WalMart just like dlonnahawkins. I make them up in batches and save for when a gift is needed. I also sell them at the Farmers Market and they are a big hit. Emblibrary has good instructions also.

Clocks are fun to make, and relatively easy. I use the inexpensive ones from Wal-Mart, they come in several colors. The Emb-Library and www.atimetostitch.com have big selections of designs ready to stitch. If you have Embird, and any of the pug-in fonts, there is an option for a clock face. You put in the parameters, and a circle of numbers appears, them you can just use the designs you have. The Emb-Library has instructions that would apply to any clock, especially for the construction. I like to have several made up, and if I need a last minute gift, especially a hostess gift; I have something ready. People seem to love getting them.
Thank you so much Z43mak. I want to try but to be honest I am afraid, but I will buy the clock at Walmart ant give a try. Flower and XoXo

hello letvia, in emblibrary.com they have one clock face that I know of, but they also have instructions with it on how to attatch the ebroidered face onto a pre-made clock. If you type in clockface into the sites search engine, I'm sure you will find it. Hope this helps. *4U.
Hello again Letvia, just had a look at emblibrary.com again and typed in clock in their search engine. came up with six pages of designs. They usually have three sizes of each design and some are split if your hoop isn't big enough. they have averything from fish to frankenstein, trains to toys, nursery designs, floral, animal, kitchen, roman numberals, all sorts. I think my design collection will get bigger by the end of the week. What have you started!!!LOL
Here is is, to prove it. Hehehe! Another oppertunity to give you a *2
You are welcome - what sort of clock were wanting to do and what size of face or hoop do you have to work with. Have you been to astitchahalf.com - I believe that Shari has some on her site.
Letvia, I have. *4U
Not any more than any other embroidery design - of coarse I had to put the clock works onto the CD - but that was pretty easy to do - I had to have my husband drill a hole in the CD holder, too.
It's on my *to-do* list letvia, I've done painted clocks. Did you want to know anything in particular about this, or just curious as to who has made them? Hugs and a flower sweetie.
Actually a little of both. I want to know if is to difficult to make and if you can make one in 4x4 size, actually I forgot to write about that in the question. I'm sorry. Thank you Ruthie. Flower and XoXo
No problem letvia, if you have, or can get a design in 4x4 it shouldn't be difficult at all. If the design is larger, I'm not sure that it will reduce successfully, you'd need to do a test piece to see. All the best sweetie, look forward to seeing it in *Projects*.
A couple years ago I was at an embroidery session, and they shwed how to do these. They have the designs out there in many areas. What they did was buy one of the wall clocks at Walmart for about $5 -took the plactic cover off, and changed out the clock face with the embroidered one. I made the design for my sewing room, bought the clock, and do you believe that I have not done it yet! You have to be careful though when you remove the hands to put on the embroidered face. By doing it this way it is less expensive and the clock movement is all ready included. Hope you do one and let us see.
good idea dlonna, now I have another project on my already long list of projects to do! but honestly my kitchen is is desperate need of a clock! flowers for you
I have several to make but it is difficult finding the clock movements to fit so I haven't bothered yet. cheers & cyberose, Meganne
I have made an emb clock.I embroidered my name,eg ( Nonna's Time ) with the clock being 10 min slow as I'm always late.Bought the clock from $2 shop. Clock movements can be bought at Spotlight in Aust. Cheers
