where a stint was put in back in 2002.) and they were able to open it which apparently is rare! They went in the groin whereas last time was through the wrist. I'm sure I'm sorer after doing more walking. But all done and will have follow up visits.

My hubby didn't have to come on here to get my alphas as I also asked my daughter to do it for me and she did.
I gotta go to bed now - getting tired again.

My hubby had 2 stents put in 2 years ago, 2 more a year ago, had a stress test last week and the doc called, he gets another heart cath on the 20th, I hope it is only for stents and not for bypass, I am very worried. He is only 64 but has type 2 diabetes on 2 kinds of insulin, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and is very overweight.

Thank you. Your hubby has diabetes - which is one thing I haven't had to worry about. I was lucky not to have had bypass surgery as they managed to unblock the artery.
Sounds like they are keeping a close eye on him, so he will be ok. It is scary even if they just check things out as we don't know what they're going to find. Let us know how things go.

Glad everything turned out great for you and I do hope this is the last time you have to have this done. May the Lord bless and keep you in his loving hands and keep you well. Please take good care of yourself also. My son is only 44 with no history of heart trouble and very few trips to the Dr. past diaper stage but he had a major Heart Attack in May 2 yrs ago. He did soooo good for about 6 months and has since forgotten to take care of himself and is having problems again. I have done everything but hit him over the head with a hammer to get his attention but he will not go back to a healthy lifestyle again, thus his problems. I did something I have not done in 32 yrs. yesterday. I raised my son alone from 11 and had 100% custody. I called his Dad and asked him to try and talk to him. He has been back in his life since the Heart Attack sooo I thought just maybe he could get through to him. His wife's pleading nor mine has resulted in getting through to him. He works too hard, plays hard and eats way too much of the wrong things, has gained all of his weight back plus some and never sleeps. Yes, he falls asleep everytime he gets quiet but getting to that point is the hard thing for him. He married a whole family 2 yrs ago just 6 months before his attack and he has not slowed down long enough to get proper sleep.

Remember to take care of yourself first so you can be there to take care of others when you need to be! Prayers and many blessings, Linda

Pray God will show your son he should be taking care of himself. What will his family do when he's not there,Hugs

Maybe he's on the go so much and seems to never sleep is he's scared and is running from himself thinking if he keeps going that'll keep him going!
Thank you for your wishes.

Another prayer answered - that they were able to take care of the blocked artery and you are home again. Take care of yourself

So happy to hear that you daughter came through for you on the alpha's.

My DH had a stint put in and they transported him to a hospital 2 1/2 hours away with the stint still in. The kicker was it was too small so the new hospital put in a bigger one. His groin area gave him fits for a few months. Did you have any symptoms before they put in the stints? If you did your answer might help other cuties with similar symptoms get the medical attention they might need. Take it easy for a few days and get plenty of rest.

That's the problem - I don't get any sympton's. They can't believe I've never had chest pain at all. When I'd had the heart attack in 2002 all I had was a bit of a heavyness in the chest and just didn't feel good.
I had been short of breath when I did things and it would take longer to do things as I'd have to stop and take a break and then continue. (Except when sewing or being on the computer)
