dlmds, was it size as in size of embroidery or size as in size of towel? I agree with meganne to have it smaller, unless if it is more of an outline/fewer stitches, like the tea pot one I did. Please post to show us when they're done. *4U
May I suggest that when you embroider the t-towels you keep the design size smaller rather than larger, I have found that the embroidered section on any kind of towel doesn't dry very well, (only my personal opinion and probably not worth much)LOL! I rather like the idea of making towel toppers for t-towels as well as hand towels, that way you can display the towel and still use it, and also, if/when the towel wears out you can re-use the topper on something else as the toppers always seem to outlive the towels. Just a thought! cheers & roses, Meganne
dlmds, have fun and post a picture of your project. Hehehe! *4U
dlmds, I've just done a quick measure of mine and they range in size from 46x71 cm (18x28 inches)to 60x90 cm (24x35 inches). So take your pick from anywhere in between those sizes. I'd be tempted to measure your fabric and work out how many you can cut from it that fit in the size range. Hugs and a flower sweetie.
The standard for a tea towel is 56x76 cm or 22X30 inches. ;)
Thank you jrob, this means I need to cut a little larger for my hems. Also for teaching me to spell tea correctly. Haha!! H.*.
Well, that is just an industry standard number, they can be whatever YOU want them to be. Take artistic license if anyone asks! haha...P.S. I didn't notice you had mispelled until you mentioned it.;)
dlmds - who cares how you spell it - tee/tea towels still means work wiping dishes, yuk! Don't like four letter words - work, dust, wash, wipe, iron, cook - there's a lot of them isn't there! Haha.
Yes and I've just finished doing them all except cook, now i'm nackered and my hand is killing me so I can't even sit at my pc for long. *&%^&%%&, Cheers, M
