I just went to embroidery top. I put a couple sites from there into my favorites. My computer shut down and gave me a serious warning. Has any one elce had problems? Thanks

Not sure where your problems came from dlmds, but a few here seem to have had them recently. I don't often visit sites that I'm not familiar with, and in *Bookmarks* they are usually a few days old before I see them, so if there was a problem someone would have told us - like letvia very kindly did. It's impossible to keep *bad* people off the net, so we just have to be very careful where we go. I would like to see in *Bookmarks* - only sites where people had downloaded, stitched successfully and could *personally recommend*. That's just my thoughts folks. Hugs and a flower for you sweetie.

Please ladies make sure you have a good, up to date, antivirus and internet security program installed and running at all times. There are many on the market to choose from and you should also pay for yearly support, which gives you unlimited updates of virus definitions, crucial to keep your pc protected.
But having said this, some very weird problems with pc's can also be caused by faulty RAM modules and also faulty or dirty fans, so don't forget to occasionally vaccuum the dust out of the fans on your PC Tower, MAKE SURE IT IS TURNED OFF AT THE WALL SOCKET FOR AT LEAST 2-3 HOURS BEFORE DOING THIS. It is wise to have your PC tower checked once a year by a reliable technician and you can ask them to clean the dust from the inside while they have it open, unless you are confident to do it yourself. cheers & roses for all, Meganne

My probs never came from that, but: I had to restore my computer totally yesterday cuz it was acting aweful. not closing download windows properly, won't open more than one window, won't download, programs always (mostly always) running in background, have to press "power" button on tower to shut off and restart way way toooo many times. All is well now, PTL Start your back-ups right now girl, just in case. Sure glad I did. *4U

Mine did not want to shut down right yesterday also, and was very slow. I just backed-up last week. I am going to go in an post another restore point, just in case!! I just this week took off all the sites that letvia warned us about. As I had quite afew of them in my favorites. Maybe this is my problems. Thanks, H.*.

Joanie, how much RAM does your pc have? It sounds like a Memory problem to me, either insufficient RAM or perhaps even a faulty RAM module, which can cause all sorts of stupid things to happen, and always intermittantly so you can't quite place your finger on what is wrong. BY doing a restore you may only be postponing the issue because you have temporarily relieved some of the RAM demands. It might be worth having your pc checked over by a Techo. cheers & roses, Meganne

Clawton, read the above answer to joaniessw, I am not sure where my problems are from. I forgot about my shutdown problem until I read what joaniesse wrote. I hope that no one elce has problems, as I spent most of my time on Cute yesterday. I know it is not Cute!! I did do some Bookmarks. Hugs and flowers
