Have you tried using wash-away stabiliser, like Vilene. You cut it back close to the puppet and remove the remainder with a wet sponge. No fluffy white tear-away remnats!
You could take a permanent marker, using the same colors of the edging, so all you need is brown & yellow
Could you use a WSS instead? And then all you would have to do is use a damp sponge to dissolve the WSS left on the sides. I almost always use WSS on every thing I make.
Or if you have a woodburning tool you could carefully burn away the excess stabilizer, I've used this trick many times.
2 cute! Children will love him and never notice the hairy part.
I think hes cute, love his little face. In time wont the fuzzy wear away?
I find the tearaway that sorta feels like a heavy paper leaves a cleaner edge. I get mine thru the shop where I got my machine. But I think, maybe Florini carries it. There's a "heavy tearaway" and a "soft heavy tearaway." Give that a try.
The first lot of tear away I bought was heavy paper and it tore away clean but I can't seem to get it anymore. I'm in England and everything I buy has to be mail order so it's rather taking the firms word for it all the time. *
