Oh wow! We were in a storm like that once, years ago. I was at the college, and when I came out there had been such a hailstorm, our vehicle was all dented. The insurance agent was tired that week. There was a lot of damage everywhere. I'm glad you are ok.

Definitely have your roof checked by your insurance adjuster - we had a bad hail storm in October (in Phoenix, Arizona) and it wiped out roofs all over - including ours (it took a month to get a roofing company to come give an estimate and another six weeks to get the work done - there are so many roofs in town to do). We did not have damage to our air conditioner (it is on the roof) but many people did. Good luck to you - stay safe with the rest of the storms.

The insurance adjusters sure will be busy, It's sad but when these things happen it brings out the fly by night guys and scammers.

katydid by katydid 25 Apr 2011

my whole area had to have our roofs replaced a few years ago. Be sure and document the date on the calendar or somewhere because the leaks on your ceilings may not show up until months later. i up graded to a guaranteed 40 yr so i won't have to go through this again in my lifetime. Ha! Ha!

It VERY MUCH does = lots of them around the valley now (out of state companies, workers with out of state vehicles, going door to door, etc.). We used a licensed in AZ for many years roofer (clean record, good BBB) - wanted to be sure they would be here if there were any issues down the road.

Wow! That's scary!! We had hail and a few tornadoes in KY, but thankfully they weren't in the immediate area where we live. I'm glad you're OK.

Springtime in Texas the weather is very unpredictable. It has helped out with the wildfires that were burning out of control.

Bev, never have seen hail in this size! Look a little bit like easter-eggs but I prefer the chocolate ones...
Hope nobody get hurt. Material damage can be replaced.
Greetings and a peaceful eastermonday

WOW Bev, they are the biggest hail stones I've ever seen. Glad you are safe - at least if it's property damage you should be covered by insurance. Love and blessings Chris

I'm just glad a tornado didn't pop out of that mess. Property can be repaired or replaced but not loved ones.

Oh my goodness! Did anyone get hurt? I was caught outside once when the hail was the size of a quarter and it really hurt when it hit me! The hail also dented the heck out of our truck!
Hope all is well!

WOW Those are huge! Glad your okay. My sister is 1 hr from the tornado that ripped StLOUIS airport on Friday and she wasn't having any fun in the bathtub
with mattress over their head but the tornado stayed
away from her.
Lets all pray for a tranquil rest of the season! I
think we could all use a break from these crazy weather patterns.

My son just called , he was working out of town, his Dodge Ram got beat up and his wife just got a new mustang about 2 weeks ago. She is afraid to go outside to look and is waiting for Charles to get home. His co worker had his whole back window blown out. The whole town is a mess.

The worst thing about being caught out in a hail storm in a car there is usually no where to go,to avoid the hail. I few years ago I was at a craft show setting up for the next day & unpredicted hail storm occurred. The older cars were virtually untouched but the new ones, ours included, were badly damaged. Some of the people were involved in a hail storm that occurred about the same time the day before & hadn't even done their insurances claims, just as well because what missed out on the damage the day before got it the second time around

Everyone is ok. Thanks Devon
I don't know about the roof. The insurance adjusters will be busy for awhile, my car was under a carport so no damage there. I do think it raised my blood pressure. LOL

we had 4 rounds of hail, here at my house it was mostly marble sized to ping pong balls. And pouring rain for about 4 hours straight. The Governor of Texas said pray for rain but we did not need the hail. It looks like it's over but there are still watches and warnings going on all over.It was scary for awhile.
