I have used poly-cotton fabric (fine shirt fabric) as a cut-away stabilizer with good results.

I use Floriani No Show Nylon Mesh Fusible. Use low to med. temp, dry/ Iron should touch the fabric NOT THE STABILIZER. (I use a press cloth) If the design is over 6,000 stitches I float a tear away underneath. It is also helpful to use something like solvy on the top. Be sure to hoop tightly

This fusible stabilizer will not allow the knit to stretch or move out of place.

I would use cut a way on the bottom and or the iron on stretch stabilizer. If you use both iron on the the stretch and then hoop the cut a way. You could go ahead and use the wss on top too. I would use a top stitch needle. I'm sure others will have ideas too.

for this sort of think I personally use 2 layers of cutaway stabilizer and be very careful not to stretch it when hooping it. Make sure it is firm in the hoop but not stretched.
