You must have been really relived to hear from your family. I live in Dekalb County in Al, where there were 35 people killed on April 27th. It's about 1 1/2 miles from here where several people were killed, we knew some of them. We did not have any damage, but alot of people around here do. Someone said it looks worse than a war zone. Please pray for everyone involed in the tornadoes.
Got a chance to reach her again today. The power company is giving her 1 hour of electricity twice a day since she is on oxygen. They got her a refillable oxygen unit so those taking care of her can refill enough cylinders with these two hours a day of electricity. This is very hard on those that medical situations require devices that need electricity. Someone is still working on trying to get the old donated generator to run because their power could be off for more than a week.
So glad to hear that you have managed to contact your Mother-in-law. My prayers are with all that have been affected. Hugs Yvonne
It has been a terrible and scary time for all those directly affected by the tornadoes and for the country as well. I am glad that you mother in law is being well taken care of.
This was really a scary time. So glad your family have helped. If you are far away ,you feel so helpless. I will pray for your family.
so glad to hear the your DH mom is doing ok and has a good staff with her. We have been praying all day and for several.
It's over a six hour drive and my DH was about to drive there when he finally got a hold of them.
I am pleased to hear your family is safe. My prayers are with all of the families there. How much more disaster can the world take?
Don't know if the world we live in has been having this many natural disasters and we didn't know about them or we are just more connected through the internet and new sources and they are being better reported. All I know there seems to be more than usual in such a short time span.
So glad everyone is ok and your husband got a hold of his mother. I am sure he was very scared until he reached her.
Dawn
I know this had to be a sigh of relief for you all to finally get through to hubbies Mom....I will continue to pray for all going through this horrible weather.
Glad to hear you and your family are okay. It has been truly devastating for so many. Prayers going out for all affected.
Glad to hear they are okay - I have not heard from my family in Alabama or Missouri - just got in from my office, so need to try to see what is going one. I know that a lot of our loctions throughout the SE have been hit, and we have many branchs closed down.
It's been a long day trying to get a hold of them. Feeling better that they are OK. Let us know how your family made it through these storms.
