I remember when I was a kid we all were sitting on my parents bed early in the morning,to give our presents to our mom.My brother had hidden his present under the bed,but because we were all 4 children and my parents in the bed . we were too heavy. the bed cracked down. all of us were laughing exept my dear brother I think he was 9 years at that time. He had bought a bowl and it was broken by the weight of the bed.But we didn't know at first, why he was the only one not laughing but crying. My mom bought the same bowl later. She was a lovely mom but has died 29 years ago.
I remember my FIRST Mother's Day. It was a beautiful spring day and we went to church and had lunch with my mother and had gone back home when my husband spied a rather limb on the house. It hadn't caused any damage or anything, he just decided to climb up on the roof and remove it, so that it wouldn't. My first child was 6 months old and he pointed up on the roof and said, "Ga Ga". His first words.....DADDY! Really? On Mother's Day??? He has always been my love and joy, but not more so than his sister.
For many years I have been away from most of my children, They live in different states than me. My favorite time on every holiday is waiting for each to call me, wanting to be the first to wish me a Happy Day. For Easter, my youngest Daughter called on Good Friday so she would be the first to tell me Happy Easter!!! Thanx for asking, now I am stuck in great memories! Love & Hugs, Judy

For me, it was when my daughter Sheila was still a teen - perhaps 17 - she had a job and her own car and was making a fairly decent wage as a teen - she bought me a porch swing for Mother's Day - she had it all setup - when I got up that morning and she couldn't wait for me to get up and around - so she fixed me my morning tea and I sat on the porch for the first time in the morning with her and had a long talk about life.
I am not sure about my most favorite memory with my own Mother - but right now - the last one stands out the most - because there will be no more - how I wished I had another......
The only Mother's Day I really remember is the day my beautiful Bull Terrier, Bugsy, won Best in Show.
I rarely see my sons for Mothers Day, or even birthdays, the love is there and that is all I need.
And the days I spent with my Darling Mumsy were all so similar that there isn't one in particular that stands out in my memory.
