Françoise, please post a picture of your projects when you are finished and let us know how you finally hooped them. I know with this much info - you were able to find something to use. *4U Shirlene
I open the leg at the inside seam to embroider on jeans.... I iron a soft fusible stabliser on the tee and hoop tearaway, pin the tee to tearaway. I don't hoop the tee because I don't like the marks it leaves and it makes centering easier. The fusible stabliser on the fabric keeps it from stretching and helps when laundering the tee. I usually don't put anything on top, depends on the fabric. If it's thin I'll use a WSS. I hope I didn't make this confusing. Have fun with it.
Look in Embroidery Libraray at. You can download a .pdf. (http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/elpr...). Have fun! Post your project when you have completed it. :) *4U
I'm still experimenting with T's and as for pants, I opened the side seem way up so I could easily hoop. I may have to get some of this "sticky stabilizer" stuff raels is talking about. *4U
I use cut-a-way stabalizer on the back and hoop. I usually place water soluble stabalizer on the top (some people do not)to control the knit fabric from moving. As raels suggested the sticky back type would keep it from moving.
I always hoop sticky back stabilizer for t-shirts and you have to open the seam on the leg of trousers so you can hoop them * 4 U
I wrote you and explained all of this, however, for some reason it is not showing up?? If you do not get help I will try again. Let me know SORRY! Hugs and flowers anyway.
I've never done tshirts but I'm quite sure that at www.emblibrary.com there is a good tutorial about it. As regards trousers you need to undo at least a part of one of the leg seams before hooping, then hoop and embroider the design you like. good luck and here's a flower for you
