I was wondering why the PROJECT tab is so slow. I was starting not to go there unless I had time. I realized that there are 996 pages and I was wondering if I were to delete the 6 projects that I had posted around Christmas if it would decrease the amount by that many. It sure did. So I am wondering if Cutes would delete some of their older project posts whether the site would get faster. Please consider it because I doubt that anyone is going back 996 pages to look at projects.

I have exchanged Private Messages with Veronika and she asks that we don't delete anything now as she is working hard to improve the situation.

We could perhaps ask to miss Veronika what is the best to do?

Wish we could delete some of the old community pages. There are 2719 pages. I'm sure that would speed up the system a bit. Oh well.

Personally I'm very sad that people are deleting from the Projects section. It's a great source of inspiration for many. Would the Cute site generally be faster if some of the early community (2719 PAGES from June 2008)or freebie (837 PAGES from Aug 2009) sections were to be deleted. Even the 131 personal pages go back to Oct 2008. Surely few if any of us delve this far back? Presume this would have to be done by site owner though.

I agree with you. I think the freebies would be the first place since the links are out of date. I am sad to think of the projects being deleted but it is the only area over which we have control. :(

I just went and erased all but one of mine. I hope it helps! By the way, I, just last night went far back in the projects and found a beautiful white shirt that had roses on it and it said they were Donna Dewberry designs. I have books and tapes and tons of her painting supplies but have never seen an Embroidery design of hers. I loved the designs and tried to get it back to the top of the kist so I could ask where the designs came from but it locked down my computer and froze everything. I made a comment and I tried but do not have the time to go back and look again. It did not come to the top!!!

Please if you know who did thids design or if it was yours, I would love o know where the Donna Dewberry embroidery ROSES came from! The shirt was a plain white shirt with the embroidery and the Cutie said they embroidered it to wear as a lightweight jacket at work, over thier shirt/blouse for times when it got cool in the office. I would appreciate it because I WANT that design. Thanks so much! Linda

Linda - I think that it was mine, and gerry did get the right designs book. There is a book and a CD with the designs on it. I did the roses on it, and had a hummingbird on the back. I still wear it some, but not as much as I did. I got mine through Amazon - and if you go over there you will see that they have it for About $11, and some used ones available too. Good searching.

Gerry! THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!! I love her roses! Oh heck< I love her work period but I was involved with her painting designs and then she went on HSN and sold all of her painting supplies there as well as local craft stores and even had her supplies in WalMart for yrs. I have no idea how I missed her embroidery designs! I found the picture on softexpressions but it would not let me navigate that site. I went to krausebooks and there it was in all its glory along with alot more to look at! Again, Thanks!! Hugs, Linda

I do this periodically - anything to help tidy up the site!It is nice to look at old projects for inspiration, but quite a lot of the posts are not really projects in the strictest sense. (Some are test stitchouts etc. No problem with people posting these if they are also willing to join in the spring clean!)

I deleted 10 projects, so I only have 5 projects out there. We are down to 963 pages, hopefully everyone does a little to help. Do back we can't do the same to the community pages.

I deleted 4 of mine, stil 964 pages up there.

There are 965 pages now - I deleted 94 (almost 10 full pages in projects). I hope this helps. A while back I deleted over 700 of them. If there were just a way to delete all out old PM's - I would feel so much better about this whole thing. I really did like going back and view some of the older PROJECTS for inspiration.

I think that´s a good idea Angie. And there´s an easy way to do so. If you go on the left to my account )under your own name and click, you see 3 tabs under it one of them is my projects. If you click on that you can see all your projects and can delete them very easy. Thanks for the advice, just started deleting. love-hugs and * for you my dear friend!

I've deleted all of my 180 projects on 18 pages. I'm glad I did as there were things on there from years ago that I lost when my computer crashed. I've now saved them as new pictures. It should make it a little easier now to get on I hope. Now down to only 977 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love and blessings Chris

well I went and deleted my 12...hope that helps...its really slow going for me also...

If it could help, I am ready to delete my old one. But I think that all those projects are a real richness for all of us. I find there so many good ideas, and I look often in the old pages, when I want a new idea for me

That's great. I just looked and there are already 20 pages less to load.

I did my part, i deleted all 16 designs that I have posted in the last 3 years.Hope it helps

Thanks Bev. I don't really have too much trouble myself. I log on at a time when not too many Cuties seem to be on but there was a lot of complaining about the site being slow. This might help if every one does a little clean up.

I think that is a great idea. I know Shirlene has gone and deleted her older projects in the past. I only have about 18, but I will go delete the older ones. A page here and there will surely help. Carol

Thank you. I thought maybe as one posts a new one to delete an old one each time. It just would make sense to me that it should decrease the time to load the pages. Sadly there are some that are from 2007 and also the last answer from that cute is 4 years ago.
