I love this bookmark. I am new at all of this and learning from the help of all of your postings. Thanks for sharing.
thank you, you can learn a lot from the community pafhen, you can also post any question there, many of us will be glad to help. I haven't been embroidering long either just about 6 months but I like challenges and always want to try something new to learn more.... more often than not I learn from my mistakes too lol. good luck with your projects, don't be intimidated to try anything sweetie. here's a flower for you
This is beautiful - and the color in the fabric could not have been more perfect!!! Thank you for sharing this stunning project with us. *4U
BEAUTIFUL!!!! It did so well on rainbow coloured organza! You deserve a flower for it!
Beautiful Anna Thanks to you and your DL for sharing it with us. Well I just left Hancocks (a fabric Store ) a little while ago I guess I have to make a trip back for rainbow organza . This makes the bookmark look like the Sun is rising . A well deserved flower for you.
lol its worth another trip :) I hope you find some nice one. flower reciprocated
anna the bookmark is just beautiful. I usually do some little something for all the moms at my church for mothers day. Never have used the irganza but you have inspired me. You do beautiful work.
thank you, what a nice idea to do something for all moms. its really easy to use organza please do give it a try. flower for you
The rainbow organza really gives it a special affect especially with the gold/orange at the top for the light.
Anna, indeed this is lovely work - your husband was right to suggest that you post this project for us - what a great idea - I can see lots of new projects coming from this technique. Thank you. *4U
I know you love fsl shirlene, its one of my favourites too but with organza I find it even looks nicer and its really easy to do. one only has to be a bit careful in trimming around the finished designs as to not cut any stitches. flower reciprocated
When you say two layers of wss do you mean. hoop wws and then the organza and then more wss on top? and then you sew the design
you got it sweetie, wws underneath organza and then again wss and hoop all three and stitch. never had any probs but best is you use the fabric type wss not the plastic type one, hope you understand what I mean. flower for you
Love this on the rainbow organza! And how sweet of your DH to suggest you share it with us, he must be indeed very proud of what you accomplish, how wonderful! Marji
thanks marji, he's really proud of it and it has already found its place in his bible. flower for you
I Love it Anna. I did an FSL with organza, just white tho. I don't believe I have ever seen rainbow colored organza b4. I love the effect of it. *4U
joanie you could check for rainbow coloured organza at shops that sell deco stuff, thats where I actually bought mine, it came in a 3m packet. however it may also be available in fabric shops. its really wonderful cos it has all colours of rainbow-my design was not big enough but there is also blue and green shades in it. flower reciprocated
Thank you, I will have to check it out next time I'm around Fabricland/Wal-Mart
This is beautiful and you're a very clever "Cutie" to have used the rainbow organza. A flower for you

This absolutely stunning. So Beautiful. I sew often on organza, but have never seen it on multi colored before.
thank you, I'd love to see your organza projects, please try to post some pics. multi coloured organza is available in shops that sell deco stuff here in Germany but it might also be available at fabric shops. flower for you
This is quite stunning. Have never done this techique, but have seen it recommended often.
I suggest you try it, its pretty easy to do as I explained to bkd147. flower for you
anna, I have never seen this technique for free standing lace and it is stunning, thank you for sharing it with us. A flower for you unique and tasteful work. loretta
thanks loretta, I just hooped organza between two layers of wss and embroidered the design. then washed, dried and ironed using a towel on top of it (never iron directly on organza - you can end up with a nicely melted mess, I sadly know what I'm talking about lol) flowers for you
