Hi Loosie and a big welcome. You're going to love it here. I use Generations to digitize. The program is expensive; but it is so easy to use. I've had other programs and couldn't get to first base with them. What I like most, is that there are free tutorials that you can watch that teaches you to digitize step by step. There are also videos that you can buy that help you to learn. They offer a trial version. Also, at certain times they offer great bonuses with your purchase, and you can also make payments.. You may wish to check it out at http://www.artisticthreadworks.co... Happy digitizing!***

I forgot to add that they have fantastic customer service, and no, I don't work for them. LOL

Just dropped in to welcome you aboard the Cutie train. Lots going on around here. Be sure to share your projects. The flowers are just for fun. The more you participate the more your garden grows. You can give flowers as well. Enjoy the ride. Oh, and I use 4D software. You can digitize with it but I'm not a digitizer. :-)

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I will look at some of the other posts and hope to get a feel for the software etc. that i may wish to purchase. I literally live in the bush the nearest metropolis is an hour away and then the software stores are few with no help so I have to learn things solo. I'm hoping the software I choose will have many tuts to learn from. Many thanks again!

I'm learning on my own as well. The "Cuties" on this site have been very helpful to me. There are also several Yahoo groups that you can join.

Welcome. I'm new to digitizing. I pull my hair out lots of times, but it sure is fun learning. I use Embird. If you look to the left of your screen, you will see "popular topics", than "digitizing",and "software", you will be able to get lots of info from other posters about digitizing and software.

Welcome to Cute loosie and as sewdeb said if you get hooked to Cute you will have even less time to do all the things you want to do. Here you get all your questions answered by experienced cuties. I do not digitize as I do not have the software but there are so many designs that so far I have avoided the temptation to try it. Somebody will answer your question with good advise. Hugs

Hello Loosie! I know very little about digitizing, still a newbie in that regard, but I'm sure someone will be along in no time to give great info. I just wanted to welcome you to Cute - the best group of folks on the web! If you think you don't have enough time to sew, etc now, wait to you really getting involved in this community - it's very hard to leave the place! ;-D
