I have been carting around this bag for 10 years. I got it free from an education conference and hated to throw it away. I have finally made it usable. I used a design from Miss Veronika's Jacobean Birds, made it into a patch and sewed it onto the bag to hide the advertisement. I gave it to a friend who loves birds. She will now redo the inside to her liking. She was thrilled to get it. I just love to rehab bags and give them away.

No-one would know that was a promo bag. Nice job and great gift. I like to re-birth bags as well and might have gone a little further and made that added design into a pocket as well :) It looks great. Thanks for inspiring us.

Good job! I took a class about 5 yrs ago and we did
an applique. It turned our about 5x7. I left the
stablizer on back and bought some of the material from the dealer and covered the back. I purchased a tote -natural color with navy strapes and a pocket on one side.Sew a pocket out of the applique for the other side. Get compliments all the time.Maureen

Lovely, I should dig out a similar bag that I've had for years and dress it up like this. I never used it because it was boring, but you have made boring beautiful.
