Hey, Mary. Since you have Corel Drawings x3, you have an auto-digitizing program. Definitely a fun place to start, although it does have its drawbacks (no pun intended) and its limitations. If I remember correctly (I don't actually own that one myself) it will do an ok job if you use .bmp or .jpg format images, and does a much better job if you use .wmf images to create your designs with. The .wmf images are vector images, so they are clearer to the digitizing program and thus come out clearer in the design. Good luck with your new adventure! =]
yes cutiepie bmp and jpeg does not look right at all will try wmf and vector
i have had this corel drawings x3 for about a week now and still figuring it out letvia u know im working on what you want i am trying to at least lol pafhen if i learn it i will do requests to pay it forward lol
Oh girl, you have a good software. I hope you learn to use to digitize some designs for me jajaja, May be you can help me with my request at LOTS jajaja. Enjoy. Flower and XoXo
The software from Corel is the Corel X3, it is a different one. You can not use CorelDraw to digitize. Sorry. Flower and XoXo
this is the program i have
http://www.allbrands.com/products... i have had it about a month now and just realized what it was and what it can do i have been to busy downloading so now i am off to learn
This link took me to *Corel DRAWings X3*, if this is the one you have mary, then it looks like you can digitise with this program. I don't know anything about it, so can't recommend.
ok so this clip art from like clipartopolis i can download use corel or adobe and a digitizing program to finish them?
I think Corel offers a special program for digitizing. It is not the regular stuff we have on our computers and it is very expensive. You need a program that will speak the language that your sewing machine uses---that is "the format" your machine uses. Also you need a means to get the designs to your machine. Most use a converter box & little floppy, or dangle, or usb cable to transfer the designs to your machine.
Very good question if you don't know. I had a teach once that would say: "There is no stupid question, except the unasked." And thanks to that question, I get to learn more. Thank you Ruthie, I knew they cleaned up pics, but lik duh never thought to help me clean up a pic for digitizing. LOL Flowers to everybody this beautiful Sunday.
Good Morning, Mary! Unfortunately, you can't digitize with Corel or Adobe. You do need an actual 'digitizing' program to digitize embroidery. But some people use Corel, Adobe, or a similar program to actually 'draw' the designs they want to digitize (instead of pencil & paper). And they can also be very useful programs for cleaning up drawings, photos, etc. Please never consider any question a 'dumb' one, we just all know different things, and are more than glad to help! Marji
There is never a dumb question. You ask questions that some of us are either too shy to ask or are still learning and not far enough along to have thought about those things. Your asking questions is helping us learn, too.
sweetie, I'm afraid you need a specialised digitising programme to make designs but thanks for asking..... if you hadn't ruthie wouldn't have suggested that one could use corel and adobe to work on pics...it had never occured to me so thanks to both of you and a bunch of flowers to each of you from germany
Mary, not a dumb question, you've obviously been giving this subject some thought to have come up with this question. Corel draw and adobe can be used if you need to do any work on your pics, like clean them up, *before* you are ready to digitise them. They are graphics programs, so can't be used for the actual digitising, you would need a digitising program for that. Hope this helps you sweetie, it can all be quite baffling until you get the gist of it - and you will. Hugs and a flower for you.
