My sister has asked me to sing at her husband's funeral. I knew Brian all my life as he was a friend of my elder brother . When my brother died in an accident when I was three, Brian assumed the role of big brother and we have been good friends for nearly 60 years. I was bridesmaid at their wedding nearly 54 years ago. This is going to be so hard to do.

Thank you all for your positive thoughts. I managed to do it - I would have hated to let my sister down. I could see her singing quietly along with me.
Here is the song if you are interested.

The Call and The Answer
You called and I ran wild as the wind
Which blows across the moor
All we needed is each other
Like the eagle we will soar.

You and I we're like two rivers
Run and fall down to the sea
When we meet we're lost forever
Lost forever you and me

You are the call I am the answer
You are the wish and I am the way
You the music, I the dancer
You are the night and I am the day
You are the night and I am the day.

Lay your head upon my shoulder
Let your heart beat close to mine
There's no past and no tomorrow
Two hearts lost in space and time.

Sue, I am so sorry for yur loss - I will be praying for you during this time - I know that if you feel the lord is guiding you - perhaps you will know he is in control - if you allow him - sing your praises to him. You will honor your BIL and sister, well.

Oh, how tough a task! My deepest sympathy to you and your sister! May the Lord help you focus on the the sweeter moments you remember, rather than grief, at the time you are singing. It will be most difficult, but HE will give you strength! May His blessings lift you up!
