This is a small canvas bag that I purchased plain, and then embroidered and added trim. I paid $2.00 for the bag, then ripped, so I could hoop and trim. If I were to make mutiples for sale, how much could I ask for them? This design has about 4000 stitches. (Of course I had to sew it back up when I finished emb.)Do you like the rick-rack, or is it just for children?

Yes it depends on the visitors how much you can charge. Think between 6 to 10 would be fair, do not be to low in price horor your time and work too.

Yes, I would like something for my time/work. If you price too low, you may get more orders than you have time for, too high maybe no orders at all.I just want to be fair to customer and Me

It is hard to judge what others would pay. I do not sell most of my things, but as many have said - double your cost of materials. I don't think that something like that would sell for more than $6 here. But, you have to be comfortable with it, and feel that you have not been cheated. And I think the rick rack is fine. zI would like to find some of the bags like that. But, they probably would not be hard to make up either. Good luck, and I hope you get a lot of orders.

I sell a bag somewhat like that, but has 2 pockets with zippers. I, too, have a terrible time deciding what to ask! I am so cheap I wouldn't pay more than $8...no matter what.

I tend to price items low, but I would rather sell them than have people just look. First, I mentally think of what is the most I would pay for that bag. Then, I double the cost which would make you bag base cost go to $4. Then add the cost of embroidery , rick rack and your time , say $6. and mark it at $9.99 which sounds better than $10. However, my strategy does not account for the item to be reduced or marked down. In that case, you would have to make it $14.99 which in my mind , just crossed the amount that I would most pay. What do the rest of you think?? Kay

I love the rick rack. I have never sold my embroidered items - but $5.00 and up seems reasonable.

Very pretty bag. For cost I would say, put a mark up on the bag 20% and then cost for the embroidery,
I charge ? per 1000 stitches. Dont know how you charge over there. Hugs Yvonne

I think it looks good for adults with the rickrack as well.I think the cost of materials X2. But I'm sure that it is more than $2. Plus the venue matters

Where do you plan on selling them. A craft fair, farmers market or some type of show? I like the rickrack, adds a pop of color and goes with the butterfly.

Well this one is for a teacher at school, she wants it for ballgames, but she said she could probally get me some orders. I just don't know what to ask, that is why I usually just do for family.

I also thought it was a C.

The design is a "C", I just meant that I made it for someone named Carolyn, so in essence I did make it for A Carolyn, just not noah(Carolyn)
