Sorry I am just now getting back, really haven't even put everything back in place from the show and summer has started and life is just busy. The second day was much like the first, but my friend and I (she is the one pictured) gave out several business cards. She actually sews and that is one of her team aprons on the front corner. She was asked to put some items in the 'General Store' of the farm which hosted the fair. We met some really nice and talented crafters...I think I could really enjoy that kind of company often. So, the sales weren't great and we got several tips for the future, but she and I had a fun weekend. We were able to cover our costs and that was in a way a success for us. Thank each of you for your kind comments and well wishes.
What a pity that there were not so many people. But for the first try it is maybe better than be overrunned ;o)
What is this big white thing on the left? Cash box? Wish you many customers coming back to you using the business cards.
Greetings, Bettina
I took my embroidery machine...glad I did...b/c monogramming is how I made my money that weekend. And yes, it was nice not to be soooooo busy on my first one.
Hope your sale was great! Glad you enjoyed the first day - lets hope the 2nd was as good!
How was the second day? Better without so much rivalry? ;o) Hope you get the charge fee for your tent and a little bit more than that :o)
Greetings, Bettina
PS: Any pics???
Karen I wish I could have come. Here it is Sat. night & I am just seeing this. Been very busy tryiny that was 1 week old yesterday. She had C-section & needs help especially with Caleb who just turned 3. Maybe next time I'll be able to come. Hope tomorrow will be a good day for you/Lillian
Oh ladies, you are surely my family. How encouraging to come home and see your hugs. :)
The attendance was so low today. There were only 20 vendors and I would say 1/3 of them aren't planning to return tomorrow.
I still had so much fun...I love people who like to 'make' things. My friend and I had such a good time talking to everyone. I think our booth was the envy of the show...not because of how we looked, how much we sold, our products...but we just had fun talking to the people who came to the show. Our tent was busy with laughter and that was nice. I got to embroider on 3 items at the show. I do hope we sell more tomorrow so I can at least recover the entrance fee...but I still am enjoying the experience of my first show. :)!!!!!!!
You ladies are too kind and thank you for your support.
Do you have businesscards or little flyers with your adress for all the nice people in your tent to contact you? Maybe some of them remember your wrok when they need a present ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
I envy you and wish I could go!!! I have not heard of any Craft Fairs around here. Its probably too hot to do one! Hahaha! I love those things. Have a great sale and enjoy yourself. Hugs & Blessings, Judy
Wish you luck to sell everything and maybe get some more orders to do ;o)
I have to admit that until now I never did selling on a market. My business is mainly with DaWanda (german handcrafter sellingplattform). Most of the time my husband has to work on saturdays and Felix does not stay with somebody else so no chance until now :o(
Greetings, Bettina
I wish I could be there. Just a little too far for me, but I want to wish you good selling. Have fun.
Awesome, if I get a chance after work I will try to go. Ardmore is only 20 miles from here.
good luck with your booth. hope this is a bright day after all that horrible weather.
Enjoy your show, have fun and I hope you sale everything that you made.
Smiles
