Hi Jo,
These quilts are always treasured. You've done a wonderful job. I'm in the middle of doing my Father's memory quilt for Mum. Only have the borders to do. Love and blessings Chris
Happy tears spring to my eyes, how wonderful to give such great pleasure to someone in pain! Thanks for sharing this lovely story! Hugs Sally
Jo, thanks for sharing this special and touching story - I have a quilt that was made by the CUTE family members to honor my Mother (Miss Loretta) that I wrap myself in all the time - it does help - believe me. THANKS.
This quilt is really awesome and a wonderful memory for your mother.
Greetings, Bettina
Now that is a GREAT story. What a great idea and the result is awesome.
That is a wonderful gift and you did a fantastic job with your vision. I too have made and quilted several quilts from clothing of someone who has passed. You both did a beautiful job.

You bring tears to my eyes.
I could think of no greater gift in this world than to be able to wrap up in such a quilt.
I wish I had known quilting before my Mum and Dad passed. hugs and roses, Meganne
That is a touching story, and such a special thing to do. The Hospice group in this area does teddy bears out of the clothing of those that have passed. My friend does this right now, and has asked that I get involved too. I do not have the time since I still am working, but when I retire. You would not believe some of the bears that are done, and what is sent to have them made from. But, it is something to keep for the greiving family members.
I wish that i still had some of my mother's and father's clothing. My sister had breast cancer 19 years ago and now it has come back as bone cancer. i would like to have completed a quilt for her to use with the chemo treatment that she had. She is now on oral chemo and it takes a toll on her.
What a wonderful idea of love. I may just have to go hunting at second hand shops for something that they might have worn(design and color).
what a wonderful thing you did and she will cherish this quilt till the day she dies......
what a sweet story......
What a wonderful story, Jo! Thank you for sharing and thank you for kindly sharing your talents to wrap a Mom in her son's love.
Thank You for sharing, I have had my dads clothes in a tote for 4 years. I was going to make mini quilts for the granchildren, but I feel they just don't care in this day and age.
They may not care now but later on they will.Go ahead and start the quilts, as long as you remember your Dad lives on. This will become treasures.Stella
THANX for sharing...the Quilt & the Story....brought a tear to my eyes.
Jo this a story that really touches my heart.
It's always my biggest fear that I have to stand at the grave of one of my children. How wonderful you can give this poor mother the feeling that her son is still around her...
Greetings, Bettina
Actually a group project, as her retired husband was the one to wash the clothes, cut them apart, iron and cut the pieces! I really need to borrow him. LOL
