I would like to make a washable fabric coloring book for my little niece, using redwork designs. I'm picturing making something that she will be able to bring with her on car trips or other times when she needs some entertainment, that can be washed and colored again and again. Have any of you made one, and if so, what fabrics do you recommend? Any particular batting is best? And any other advice would be greatly appreciated :) Many thanks, cuties!

I made a soft book a long time ago with 100% cotton. I didn't use washable markers because they weren't invented yet. Later my kids had stuffed animals you could color on and they were white cotton.
Your idea is wonderful.

1. link is for a softbook on sewforum- go to link, register/sign in, then come back and click link again.

2. build a snowman book, ideas for putting a book together
