My brother called and said my Dad is in the hospital for a major diabetic incident. He was almost gone when my stepmom heard him fall. my uncle just got put on dyalisis last week from complications of diabetes. My son's Chron's is getting bad again. The tree that fell on the roof isn't down yet. And to top it all off I popped a rib this morning. I know this sounds like a bad country western song, but I am a bit overwhelmed. I could really use the encouragement.

Please add my prayers for peace in your family. Peace from pain, illness and natures fury. I will pray for you and that you get an appointment with a chiropractor in the morning to get that rib put back. I've had that before and it's not ANY fun! I've a friend that went to the emergency room with one, thinking she was having a heart attack.

Sue, you do have alot going on in your life - it sounds to me like you must all be very close to God most of the time and that the devil himself is trying his hardest to get to you - just stop and regroup - center yourself and know - that when times are hard - is when you need to stay close to the Lord. I will be praying for you and the family.

Undergroundsue, seems like your sense of humour might still be intact, maybe just on the back-burner with all that's going on in your life right now, and I didn't realise how much it did sound like a bad western song, sung in a slow dead-pan deep voice, until I re-read your message.

You've got a heavy load right now and I do hope that your Dad recovers to full health very soon, that your uncle slots dialysis into his life without much trouble, that your son's disorder settles down again and that someone can deal with that tree. That's more than anyone should have to deal with. Little wonder, then, that you feel overwhelmed - most people would.

Life is like that sometimes and then you find that you're coping and coming through to better times after all.....but it will be a difficult time for you to keep smiling with your broken rib - it's not easy laughing at life when you can't even take a decent breath to laugh it out. You'll be in my thoughts until things get better for you, and I'm sending you a great big Aussie Hug (I'll be careful of your sore rib) to carry you through until things look up and the sun shines for you again.

you can't expect to handle it all - when you are hurting, too.

Our household has been dealing with the same kind of physical battles as yours. I have been at a loss for understanding what is going on... so all I can do is trust in the One who I know loves me. I know it is hard, it is hard for me too. This scripture has been giving me hope for the last few weeks, May it also help you.

Prov. 3:5

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
