you can also sew it on organza and match the color organza to the project that you are attaching it to. ;)
I think I understand now what you want to do. I would stitch out the design on Water soluble stablizer. Rinse out the stabilizer. Sew in place on the garment in the heart shape. Then very carefully cut away the fabric under the design.
Another thought, if you are looking for Free Standing Lace not cutwork, here is another excellent tutorial http://www.astitchahalf.com/tutor...
Both of these are in bookmarks if you need them again later.
If you are interested in cutwork, here is an excellent tutorial and a cutwork freebie. http://www.elizabethsembroideries...
This tutorial will give you an understanding that will allow you to do the piece you want to do. Enjoy!
Sweetie, I just realized what you are asking. You stitch the design out on WSS, water soluble stabilizer, then soak in water and you have a FSD, free standing design. Then you can treat it like a patch and attach it any way you like. You dealer or where you shop for supplies will have this type stabilizer along side cut a way and tear a way. It looks like plastic food wrap, but it dissolves in water. There are different weights depending on your project.
Hi, gals, this question goes with Flos' original question which I tried to put at the top of the list. She's asking about the FSL heart A freebie today. I tried to answer that question, she needs help with the FSL concept. Maybe one of you who does FSL can give her better directions. Thanks, Marji
I assume you are talking about the applique egg shape. I believe after you stitch it out you just trim around the edge. Some designs have a step where it stitches a type of basting around the cut-out area and stops for you to trim out the circle(don't take it out of hoop). Then place the design back on to embroidery the rest. I have not done this one. Check to see if any directions were down loaded with the design.
There were no directions with the download, but thankyou for your response. I'd like to use it as a patch but i might need to sew it on directly
