It was the alphabet A in a heart and the lacey edge gives an open appearance. I would love to do it as a patch for my daughters jeans rather than have to open the leg to put it on

FSL is usually dense to sew on denim or most other materials... Is that the 'A' pattern you are talking about? I assume your machine has the same type hoops mine do... I just use the 100 x 100 mm (or the small frame for smaller designs)and put the tubular arm IN the hooped pant leg and rotate the design 90 degrees. The upper part of the hoop that attaches to the machine goes on the outside of the material the smaller (with the adjustment screw) part of the frame inside the leg. The frame is then at a 90 degree angle to the pant leg, the tubular arm is parallel. This works for most jeans unless they are tiny kid sizes!

flos, opening the leg really isn't that big of a deal if you have a seam ripper and are very careful. I personally like to remove the BOTTOM of the pocket, leave the two top corners tacked and embroider the pocket that way. ;)

Jrob, I agree with you, a good seam ripper is all you need and it makes the rest so much easier. Hugs and flowers.

Go back to your original question. I think two people answer the way you were meaning.
