Although I've been a member of "Cute" for several years, I've not participated before. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for re-posting.
Wonderful! You won't be sorry, it is so heartwarming when your recipient gets their gift, not to mention your anticipation waiting for yours. :-)))
More interest -that's exciting. So we'll keep putting it back up here!
I would love to join too please meganne ,this will be my first swap on this site.
Monika
Just get the details from Sue's post and email Sue, she will fill you in on the rest. You won't be sorry Monika it is so very rewarding. Hugs n Roses, Meganne
Can it be knitted or must it be sewn? I like to do both, thanks.
I don't see why not, knitted gifts are lovely and if you have enough time, and enjoy doing it, then it certainly qualifies as a gift from the heart.
OH!Oh! Knitted neck scarves are great!Especially for us that do not knit or crochet.Start the needles.Anything you send is appreciated.Just having the fun is what is important. Some of us only have the daily visit from the postman.
I am clicking away!!;>) I try to knit and babysit the embroidery machine while she's working!
I THINK I MAY GIVE THIS A TRY
Don't sew, knit, crochet?Just the fact you care enough to send someone something whom you've never met.But it would be a highlight in anyone's day. This is not a contest just fun.
I'd like to participate. I've sent Sue an email. Can anybody direct me to the rules? I missed the beginning of this. Thanks! Denise
Sue will reply and give you the rules as it is Sue's baby, I'm just acting recruitment officer. (self appointed of course) hehehehehehe!
Looking forward to hearing lots of 'newies' join the 'Secret Santa at Cute' list! I think it's a great idea to make it something we've made ourselves and limit it to one item. Should really help people feel they can jump in and get involved :) People who agree to post outside their country can also make it something inexpensive to send.
My newness" to all this makes me a little nervous, but I'm looking forward to joining everyone! Kathy
Please don't be concerned Kathy, we are known as the world wide Cute FAMILY for a reason. If it is a trust, issue then rest assured Sue has everyone's addresses so if anyone does the wrong thing there would be dire consequences.
Now, having said that, I would trust my Cute family with my life. Hold on!!!
I did trust them with my life and I believe it was they all who saved me.:-)
If it is a confidence issue, please also do not be concerned.
We all started somewhere and a gift made with love by someone who is just learning, is all the more appreciated because that person "gave it a go" and did her best.
OK?
Welcome to Cute, Participate, Learn & Enjoy because you are now part of a world wide Family who are here 24/7.
We all grow together.
Hugs and roses, Meganne
Even if you don't think you have sewing skills.Just join!It might even just be some thing to add to a sewing room or a sewing item.Candy from your area, tea etc.Imagine a tea party and you just got a mystery playmate.Forget about trying to find out who is who! This is just fun!Why it could be someone in your area or another part of this wonderful world we have yet to visit.
Thanks so much Meg always seem to miss out, have signed up and will await Sue's email. hugs x0x0x0
ttt please can we keep bringing this back to the top so no-one misses out.
Considering how many posts I read from Cuties saying how disappointed they were that they missed out, the response this time has only been from the original Secret Santa's and maybe 2 new ones.
Taking part in this is so much fun and so truly heart warming, you'll be so glad you signed on to do it.
Its a nice surprise and lots of fun!! Thanks Sue for all your hard work and thats Meganne for putting out another reminder!! :)
15 so far!
Now that's nowhere near enough Cuties to make it really exciting, is it?
Perhaps you should tell them the new rules about each person only making ONE item, NO GOING OVER THE TOP TRYING TO OUTDO OTHER CUTIES!!!!
It MUST be something you have made yourself and it is not important how great or how poor your sewing skills are, it is the GIVING that counts, not the gift.
Oh and it needs to be posted to arrive before July 25th.
Sue will give you the clues as to your recipients likes and you can always PM other Cuties for gift ideas or browse through projects.
Have I missed anything???
