Maybe Miss Veronika can add this design as a single at cutealphabets or here at Cute?

Agree 100% with you! I also bought the catterpillar font and had the pirates in my cart, and then decided against it ...it needs those extra singles that we find so useful!

To show what I mean here a pic of the caterpilar-alpha with the embossed letters and one I made with the plain bodypart for my son with a kids-alpha. I changed the colors to get a little more the look of the hungry caterpillar ;o)
So I thought it would be nice if the pirate-font has also one design without a letter just plain space for your onw lettering.

Oh now I get what you mean. I thought that you wanted to combine the Pirate Bear with the Caterpillar font and I just couldn't see a bear with that many legs. Silly me.

I think that you could use just the bear portion of the design and add your choice of letters next to it. Sometimes I skip ahead and take just one part of a design.

Somehow I can't visualize this bear with the caterpiller.:(

The caterpillarfont has also letters in the embossed-style like the pirate-bears. There was one part for the caterpillar without a letter (> caterpillarbody: just plain stitched space and the feet) so you are able to build your personal caterpillar your own letters.

The Pirate alphabet would look great on tote bags and placemats ansalu. And all of Miss Veronika's designs stitch out beautifully.
