First my uncle passed away and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery where both of my parents are buried. It was nice to have a visit at my parents gravesite since it's a 9-10 hour drive from our home. Then we helped our son move from a townhouse apartment to a condo. That took a few trip and he is a two hour drive from us. We should never be allowed to accumulate so many things. The trash bin dumpster was close by to his kitchen door and many trips were made to it. lol. Then May 25th my DH's mother passed away. This was expected as she was home with Hospice since mid November of last year. His father passed away the day before Thanksgiving so he has lost both parents in about six months time. We also have fourteen acres to keep up with now that it is warm out. Over the weekend my husband and I were moving a dresser/chest of drawers upstairs when he lost his balance and all the dresser weight was on my right arm. Was holding onto the hand rail with my left hand and managed to hold on until he regained some of the weight. I'm now left with a tricep tear and bulging veins (really ugly). At this point the doctor says it is inflammation of the tricep muscle and I'm on anti-inflammatory medication and icing the area. Have managed to raise my computer chair and prop up my arm so I can use the keyboard. Now I have an excuse to get out of outside work. yeah!!! By the way never move furniture in socks on stairs - that is why he slipped.

Anita dear - I am so sorry to hear of the losses in your family - even though one was expected - it is never easy to loose them. And then this injury and all the hard work in helping your son move - you do need a rest and this might have been God's only way to get your attention to do so.

Being constantly busy sure takes your mind off of what's going on but I have to admit this little bit of down time is a welcome relief. Love the cute little sleepy girl.

Oh, I am cringing. I am so sorry that you have had so many loved ones die in so short a time. And then to be left with this painful injury. Words cannot help but please do take care of yourself and your husband. I think you both need what I call ugly gripper slippers. These are the socks they give you in the hospital with the silicone designs that will keep you from slipping.

This isn't the first time he has slipped on the steps with socks on. You would think he would learn. I had my tennis shoes on and had a good grip on the handrail so I was stable. Probably should have waited until our son came home to help with moving the chest. Am definitely taking it easy for the next few days.

You have had a lot to deal with. I am so sorry. It seems at times that everything happens at once. I hope all bad things are over with and you will be able to recuperate.

I agree with you that we have had our fair share for a while. We have been dealing with a lot and quiet and rest will be welcomed.

I'm just uncomfortable for a few more days (I hope) but still I worry about my DH. Can still tell that his mother's passing has him at a low spot and not quite back to his old self yet.

Thank you. Have been so busy dealing with stress and closure that I've forgotten how good a cutie hug can be.

I remember you had to wear a brace on your arm not so long ago, so you probably know how unhandy it is not to have full use. As long as I don't move my upper arm I'm doing OK except for fixing my hair and that didn't go to good. Was laughing and my DH came to see what he could do to help. Let's just say he isn't good with hair.

Just been told by my daughter that her work has scheduled her to attend a work related class and wants me to drive her since I know that city. The class is for next Friday, June 17th so I should be up for that. It is great to be needed. lol

Wow, sorry for your injury among all of the other things you were dealing with. I hope you heal quickly and don't have lasting weakness from the tear.

At least I get to have a rest for a few days and get waited on. My DH feels bad about my arm as I told him before we started to put shoes on.
