This little rubber ducky turned out so nicely I just had to share it with those who use the 4x4 hoops. If you haven't ever tried inserting mylar under a design - this would be the one to try. It gives the design an iridescent sheen. It's easy. The first color is the placement line for the duck shape. Second color stitches it down into place. Then you trim it close like you would an applique. The rest is stitched just like a regular design. I tested this design and it stitched out great - Enjoy - I think I have taken these little duckies as far as I can :-)

He's a cutie - may i ask a stupid question - what is mylar (SOME SORT OF FABRIC I AM GUESSING - I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT) But he is cute as he is anyway thanks for sharing

MYLAR is synthetic filmy material that is iridescent and crinkly and is permanent in that you can wash it and it doesn't change. It is placed into a design very much like an applique, and gives the design a nice shiny glow.
