In Sweden it's called Pingst but your word was so similar so it reminded me of what holiday it is this weekend.

I moved from Sweden to the US 10 years ago and the holidays that are not celebrated here, I forget about.

Thank you for letting me know. I think, Pfingsten basically is a religious holiday
(the one where the Holy Ghost comes down to
earth to enlighten people's mind. Since the
early beginning of Christianhood it is celebra
ted the 50th day after Easter (Pentekoste)
and reminds also of the beginning of the
Christian church. Wish you also Glad Pingst!
By the way - two years ago we found out that
one of our ancestors (Philipp Grimm) emigra
ted to the US approx. 140 years ago because
the US relatives found us and since then we
are in close contact and they visited twice
already. Do you also sometimes visit your
home country Sweden which I like a lot?
