Jewels, Just wanted to say Welcome to the Cute Family. Looks like you got good answers. Enjoy . A flower for you.
Jewels, here is your manual link. http://www.brother-usa.com/manual... I downloaded mine and put a shortcut on my desktop. This saves me a lot of time.
You need some kind of software to transfer it to your machine. I have a usb cable and PED, you can also use a flash stick or a converter box and card. The point is you have software on your machine and it needs a program on your computer that your machine can recognize to download. I have an Innovis 4000D. This is how it works for me. Since yours is in the Innovis line I think it should be pretty similar. Pick up a copy of your user manual and check it out. If you have misplaced go to BrotherUSA site and download a new one. The link is in favorites. You are going to love your machine!
jewels, you can download WilcomTrusizer for free and change the size of the design. One of the other gals can help you with that, because my software will do it for me, so I don't use it, but there are lots of folks on here that do. Welcome! We are happy to have you here. ;)
Jewels,
It depends on what website you downloaded your design from because each website has different download instructions. Some websites will send you down load instructions a day later others will send you to their download area right away.
Looks like you got some help with your particular machine, that's good. You do need to come up with a system of saving designs. You need to save them to a particular place so you can find them. You can set things up very similar to using a filing cabinet.
unfortunately I'm at work and can't look at my machine, but off the top of my head it goes something like this.
first find the design on your computer and check that is not a zip file. If it is, unzip it.
next connect your computer and machine together with the USB cable that came with the machine. turn the machine on. on the computer under 'my computer' you should now have a USB attachment or external drive that is your machine. you need to copy the design to that file. your machine screen will say receiving data. when it is finished, you press one of the buttons on the screen. I think it is the 2nd or 3rd from the left on the bottom row. the design will appear on the screen. touch the screen again to upload the design to your machine and now it should be ready to sew. All of this is outlined in your machine manual. Let me know if you have PE design software for your machine as you can also load the design through the card. I hope this works.
great, did it but now it says the pattern is too large for the embroidery frame.....can you change the size? I do not have PE design...just the machine and I work with Monogram wizard (fonts)
You need to check the design size carefully before you buy it. You might contact the dealer who sold you the design and see if they have the same one in a size that will fit your hoop... Try to see if there is a demo digitizing program online that you could use to re-size the design too??? You could always buy a bigger hoop so long as the design is not too big for your machine...
Oh, baby, I don't where to start. It is bed time in Ga. Perhaps some one will help you that has your software. I put mine in " My documents" under categories and make folders for each one. you will develop your on system.
