Martha Pullen recommends you fill a plastic bucket with water and Biz. Can get the Biz in the detergent section of the store. Soak the item for as long as it takes! Won't harm the fabric. I know she uses that to take marks out of antique clothing. Worth a try! I still have some unfinished Creative Circle kits!!!
I just went to the Internet & after searching around found this information & it sounds just like the problem I have on the picture. So I will try it this weekend & let you know how it works. Thanks to all for your help.
Fabrics
Water spots on fabrics are caused by the dislodging of sizing or finishing agents found in many garments. Water dislodges these agents and causes them to form rings on the material surface.
Follow these steps to remove water spots from fabrics such as Acetate, Acrylic Fabric, Carpet (synthetic or wool), Cotton, Fiberglass, Linen, Modacrylic, Nylon, Olefin, Polyester, Rayon, Silk, Spandex, Triacetate or Wool:
•To remove water spots, dampen the entire area with water and allow to dry.
•Spots may also be removed by holding the area in the steam from a boiling kettle.
•If the garment can be ironed, press while still damp.
Whether you try the lemon juice or the hydrogen peroxide, soak the piece in some cold water with baking soda in it... maybe 1/4 cup to a gallon of water. The baking soda will neutralize the acidity of the lemon juice and soften the water. I'd go the peroxide road first since its less acidic than that lemon juice... but the soda will still soften the stain enough to let the peroxide do its job.
Footnote: I've heard that lemon juice and salt will remove rust stains. But there again, the salt would act as a neutralizer.
Good luck!
Okay... I typed "How to remove water stains" into my search engine and this was at the top:
How to Remove Hard Water Stains

I don't think it qualifies for a hard water stain as it is from rain that got into the shed & through the box the picture was in. So guess it would fall under water stain on fabric. I will try that & see what I get. Thanks for you help.
I have used lemon juice to take out "rusty" looking stain in linen sheets stored wrong. I just sprayed some on the linen and then laided it in the sun to do its thing and it did! Just like new. I am not sure if you just want the stain removed on the material it self OR is there damage to the finished pieces you have started?? I would DON'T know what the lemon juice would do to the yarn, so please be careful if you decided to try this method. Good luck.
I never thought of peroxide but it is sure worth a try. Can't hurt it for sure. The stain does look like a rusty looking stain so if the peroxide does not work I could try the lemon juice. It is not stained where the yarn is so that is a blessing. It is such a beautiful piece I hate to throw it out & would really like to finish it if I can get the stair removed. Thanks for everyones help.
